Produce Biodiesel from Yellow Oleander in 24 hours for use in Your Diesel Engine

Procedure for Oil Extraction
Collect, dry and shell Thevetia peruviana seeds, properly clean then dry and crush using motorized grinding machine. Mix and squeeze the cake thoroughly by adding warm water. hand squeezing is usually done to saturate the crushed seeds to extract the oil. After completion of the extraction process, warm the Oil to remove the water which was introduced during the extraction process.
Experimental procedure for biodiesel production
Solvents to use include: Methanol, Ethanol, KOH and NaOH.
Measure 250ml of yellow oleander oil and place in a beaker, warm to a temperature of 40oC and then place on a magnetic stirrer.  Add 9 ml of potassium hydroxide in methanol (9.0 g of KOH in each of250 cm3 of methanol to form the mixture) to the oil and stirr for about 20 minutes until a homogenous mixture is formed. Transfer the mixture into a separating funnel and allow to stand overnight. The product will separate into two layers. The lower layer being a mixture of unreacted oil, potassium hydroxide, methanol and glycerine is drained off through the tap. Washed the Biodiesel with warm distilled water until the product is clear. Heat the Biodiesel at 100 OC to remove water that might be present in the product during washing.........Your Biodiesel is then Ready for use
